SAFEGUARDING STATEMENT

The Mount St Bernard Abbey Community operates under the one umbrella of the Catholic Safeguarding Standards Agency (CSSA) with the support and guidance of the Religious Life Safeguarding Service (RLSS). The RLSS provides specialist safeguarding services to the Catholic Church in England and Wales and The Mount St Bernard Abbey Community is fully committed to engaging with their advice and guidance. The Catholic Church, and all those with a role within it, have a duty of care to ensure that all children and adults are safe from harm. This duty spans from ensuring people are safe within our premises and care to protecting those who may be at risk of harm or abuse within their home, community or other settings. Mount St Bernard Abbey recognises its responsibilities and is committed to proactively embedding a culture of safeguarding across the Community.
